As per a report published in DNA, a Hindu marriage was called off in Kurmapur village of Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh State of India. The groom named Shiv Kumar aged 25 was on the marriage venue to get married to a girl from the adjacent Kurmapur village. The 'groom’s relatives' were enjoying the marriage but all went wrong at the dinner time.

At the dinner counters, there was a counter of Rasogulla (Bengali Sweetmeat) which was getting supervised by a relative of the bride's family. That supervisor was advised to serve only one Rasogulla to each person in the Baraat (Groom's family). One person in the Baraat (Groom's family). did not knew this rule & took 2 Rasogullas instead of one. This led to a ruffle over there & it got into a full blown war of words over there in the Baraat. Many people on the groom's side even beat up the bride's close people. They even beat up the bride's father.

Situation escalated so much that police had to be called at the wedding venue. All efforts to resume the wedding ceremony failed. Bride was watching all the scene over there & was shocked that her father had been beaten up. She just refused to marry in such a family.

Later on a Police complain was filed by the bride's father at the police station and police is now looking into the whole matter.
