We all know about Real Amarnath Shivling but what would you say to this Artificial Manmade Shivling which has been insttaled in a Gujarat Village, Mankameshwar Paradeshwar Mahadev temple in Valetva village on Changa-Nadiad Road. As per a report:

An NRG from the UK has helped install an ice shivling made out of thin air at the Mankameshwar Paradeshwar Mahadev temple in Valetva village on Changa-Nadiad Road.

The technology uses liquid nitrogen and ice and has been developed by Shreelal Jha of the department of physics at Sardar Patel University. Praful Patel (58), who was in the real estate business in London, says the shivling can stay in its frozen form for a long period.

"I have used an air-conditioning compressor for freezing the shivling uniformly. It attracts moisture from air and makes a uniform layer of white ice (translucent ice) on the ice shivling," says Jha.
"The settled ice is controlled from becoming transparent (hard ice) because if ice becomes transparent it will not look like Amarnath shivling," added Jha. The cost of keeping the shivling in the frozen form comes to around Rs 3,200 per month.

The three-ft high shivling with a 1.3 feet diameter can withstand an open environment as long as it is in a soundproof environment.

Below is a picture of that Artificial Manmade Shivling.

Below is Little about the Real Amarnath Shivling:

Amarnath is one of the most famous of Hindu shrines / temples. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva & is located in Jammu and Kashmir state of India. It is said that this temple is around 5000 years old. Every year about 400,000 people visit the temple during the 45 day season around the festival of Shravani Mela in July-August, coinciding with the Hindu holy month of Shravan. It is located in the mountains of Himalayas & inside the Amarnath Cave lies the ice Shiva Lingam, a natural formation of an ice stalagmite in the form of lingam.

Now Every year more than 50,000 pilgrims from Gujarat state only visit the holy real shrine in Amarnath to pay obeisance to 'Barfani Baba' (ice shivling). Now will those devotees shall stop visiting the Real Amarnath Shivling & shall  be satisfied by visiting Artificial Manmade Shivling only. I don't think so as real faith of people is with Real Amarnath Shivling only. What do you say???.....give your comments......
