Aeroplane grounded in Delhi as Rats run riot

As per a report:

Rats forced the grounding of an Air India aircraft that arrived in New Delhi from Kolkata as the plane was taken to a remote bay for fumigation. The crew of the Airbus A-321, operating flight AI-021 from Kolkata, found a rat in the rear of the aircraft, airline sources said.

 As soon as the flight landed and the passengers had deplaned, the aircraft was taken off service and removed for fumigation to a remote bay. Rodents are unwelcome guests who pose a serious threat to an aircraft as they can chew up and damage the hundreds of wires on a plane. The sources said they suspect the rats came from the catering vans which deliver food to the aircraft.

A Passenger brings Snake onto a Plane

Because he had two pieces of hand luggage Easyjet charged him £25 to put one in the hold, as only one bag was permitted onboard. Unknown to staff, he carried Milky onto the plane. He said: “They gave me a lot of hassle when boarding – but about paying £25 because I had an extra piece of luggage.

32 Gold Nuggets found in Plane Toilet

As per a report:

Indian intelligence busted an international gold smuggling racket at Chennai airport on Sunday, and in the process discovered 32 gold nuggets, weighing roughly a kilogram each. The interesting part? They were hidden in a plane toilet, as per the report.

The Air India flight had just come in from Dubai and was headed on to Delhi, which may have been the gold's final destination. The gold was hidden in a pair of black camcorder bags. The alleged smugglers booked executive class seats, and stashed the gold in the bathroom closest to the cockpit. "We are not ruling out the role of some airline insiders," one officer says. "It is strange that no airline staff spotted two big bags inside the toilet next to the flight captain's cabin."

Plane Lands Safely On Busy California Street

A plane landed safely on a city street in California's Silicon Valley during rush-hour traffic. The pilot noticed a malfunction shortly after take-off and was forced to make an emergency landing.
