An Ahmedabad-based retired banker after completing ninty years of his life, is now looking for a partner. The 90-year-old Gujarati man, who lost his wife 25 years after retirement, is the father of two sons and two daughters, reported the Times of India (TOI).

Living in one of his daughter’s house, he pays a rent of Rs17,000 (RM1,120) to her every month, and Rs 6,000 (RM400) to his son for food. “Since my children are only interested in my money, I am now looking for a better half with whom I can spend the last days of my life,” he said.

According to the TOI report, the former banker has contacted a charitable organisation to find him a wife “of any age” in order to get care and company to live peacefully. “He has contacted us to find a better half for him since his children are not taking care of him,” told Natubhai Patel of the Vinamulye Amulya Seva Organisation.

As per a report:

An Indian man has recently set the Guinness world record for typing 103 words in 47 seconds with nose. Mohammed Khursheed Hussain trained for six hours a day for three years to set the keyboard-bashing best, the Mirror reported. With his hands tied behind his back, the 23-year-old wrote the phrase: " Guinness World Records has challenged me to type this sentence using my nose in the fastest time."

That secured Hussain a second world record, his first was for typing the English alphabet in just 3.43 seconds with his fingers. Hussain told the International Business Times that he typed with one eye closed, as it was difficult otherwise to locate the keys.

It took Mr Hussain, from the southern city of Hyderabad, months of training to break through the 53-second barrier after reaching it at least twice.
During his attempts the hobbyist, his hands tied behind his back, was surrounded by crowds of fans with stopwatches and an extra-large monitor attached to the keyboard.

15 days old Facebook Friends, Man murders Woman when they meet in person

Subscribe to My Viuz Subscribe to My Viuz in MY YAHOO! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY GOOGLE! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY MSN! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY AOL! Subscribe to My Viuz in Rojo!
As per a report:

After chatting with a Facebook friend for only 15 days, 42-year-old Baguiati homemaker Soma Ghosh agreed to meet him. That proved to be her undoing. The 33-year-old man from Birbhum landed up at her flat and murdered her in a fit of rage on Monday after she rebuffed his advances, police said on Thursday. Abhishek Majumdar, known as Totla Rana back home due to his stammering, was arrested from Bolpur on Wednesday night and brought to Kolkata. He used the name Nandan Sen on Facebook and was introduced to Soma on the social networking site by a close friend. Soma and Abhishek began chatting regularly and only seven days later reportedly exchanged phone numbers. Police say Soma invited Abhishek to her home.

Accordingly, he landed up at Soma's Rabindrapally apartment complex around 1pm on Monday and was actually escorted to her flat by a next-door neighbour. Police have two theories on what transpired next. "Both the man and the woman were shocked to find the real human being to be different from the virtual world," said an investigator. Majumdar is married and has a son. The short, slightly built man had posted the jazzy photo of a biker on his Facebook profile. "Majumdar desired a 'closer relationship', which Soma strongly opposed.

She was the mother of a 17-year-old girl. But the youth could not take her rejection and tried to force her. There was a scuffle and she fought back. In a fit of rage, he picked up a belan-chaki and a knife from the kitchen and attacked her. When she fell on the floor unconscious after the beating, Majumdar cut her throat and fled with Soma's phone as he was afraid that the numerous SMSs exchanged between the two would have led police to him," said an officer, adding that the murder was not planned. Another theory is that he might have been blackmailing her. Since the family says some gold bangles are missing, police are investigating if Abhishek took them to make it look like a robbery.

"He confessed that he killed her in a fit of rage and fled," said Bidhannagar ADCP Santosh Nimbalkar. It was Soma's daughter who found her body after returning from school around 3pm on Monday. Her throat was slit and there were multiple stab wounds on her chest and gashes on her hands, indicating she put up a fight. During investigation, police questioned her husband Sujit Ghosh, a family friend and a neighbour who also had a link in the Facebook chats between Soma and Abhishek. "After interrogating her, we came to know about Soma's new friendship with Nandan aka Abhishek and started tracking him down," an officer said.

Tiger Grabed Man off Boat & Leapt back with Man in its Jaws into Jungle

Subscribe to My Viuz Subscribe to My Viuz in MY YAHOO! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY GOOGLE! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY MSN! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY AOL! Subscribe to My Viuz in Rojo!
As per a report:

The danger of venturing into the prohibited areas of Sunderbans was revealed again on Thursday morning when a tiger jumped from the bank of a creek and leapt back with a man in its jaws. This is the fourth time that a human was killed by a tiger in the Sunderbans this year. The victim, 62-year-old Sushil Majhi, lived in Lahiripur near Datta river, less than kilometre from a creek that runs deep into the forest. Along with his son Jyotish, 40, and adopted daughter Molina, Majhi would often row up the creek to catch crabs. On Thursday, at the crack of dawn, the three set out on a boat to the forests of Kholakhali, an area where fishing is banned. Jyotish sat in front of the boat, Sushil in the middle and Molina at the tai. That is how they balanced the vessel while pulling in the net.

"Shortly after we reached the spot, around 7am, we got a whiff of a strange odour. We immediately decided to turn back to a safer zone," Jyotish told TOI. They were paddling towards a less dense area when a tiger that had been stalking them struck like lightning. "Suddenly, my sister cried out: 'Dada, bagh (tiger)'. I was stunned, and my body froze. All I saw a flash of yellow. It took me a moment to register the gruesome sight before me. My father was completely buried under the beast. I could only see his legs thrashing about. I shook off my numbness and grabbed a stick. Molina, too, took out a long cutter we use to clear foliage in the jungle.

Together, we poked and battered the tiger, but it refused to give up," he said. Despite being attacked, the tiger concentrated on its kill and once it got a good grip, it held Majhi by his neck and jerked the body in a way that it landed on its back, said Jyotish. "It jumped off and landed on the bank in one giant leap. We saw it disappear into the jungle with my father still in its jaws," he added, shaking from the ordeal. Jyotish and Molina raised the alarm and some fishermen paddled furiously in their direction.

"But they didn't dare chase the tiger into the deep woods. Molina was so traumatized that she lost consciousness. I didn't take any further risk and returned with her as quickly as possible," said Jyotish. Majhi's body is unlikely to be recovered, as countless other human victims before him. Sunderbans Tiger Reserve field director Soumitra Dasgupta said there were reports of a tiger attacking a fisherman on Thursday morning. "Fishing is banned in the forests where the incident took place," he said.

Man Sues Delhi multiplex over Ranbir Kapoor's Movie Rockstar

Subscribe to My Viuz Subscribe to My Viuz in MY YAHOO! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY GOOGLE! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY MSN! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY AOL! Subscribe to My Viuz in Rojo!
As per a report:

A man in Delhi faced the wrath for wasting valuable time of a consumer forum by filing a legal case against a multiplex for showing Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's movie Rockstar. The consumer forum on Thursday, May 9 dismissed a Rs 50,000 claim by the man who alleged mental harassment against multiplex authorities over bad quality of a movie he saw in 2011, saying he could have left the hall if he did not like the film.

A West Delhi District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum also rapped Delhi resident Lovenish Kumar Bhardwaj for wasting valuable time of the forum. The forum, headed by its President Bimla Makin, dismissed Bhardwaj's plea claiming a compensation of Rs 50,000 on account of mental harassment and agony suffered by him while watching 'Rockstar' movie in December 2011 at Movie Time Multiplex in Rajouri Garden, due to the bad picture quality of the film.

"Where was the question of mental harassment to the tune of Rs 50,000? If he was not liking the movie, he could leave the hall and at best Bhardwaj would have suffered a loss of Rs 100 or 200. He spent more money on filing this complaint than what was his loss in the form of purchasing a movie ticket," the forum said. It also said that presuming if a ticket was purchased for seeing a movie for few rupees then even if some part of the movie was smoky or not clear, the complainant cannot be encouraged to approach the district forum for loss of petty amount and that too claiming a compensation of Rs 50,000.

The man had told the forum that after a few minutes of the show, he found that quality of picture was "very corrupt, smoky" on the screen and sometimes it got paused for a while. He had approached a torchman and multiplex authorities, but even after their assurance, the picture quality remained poor. He then gave a written complaint to the police in this regard, Bhardwaj said. Later, he approached the forum claiming that he was dissatisfied with the multiplex's services and was humiliated.

Unmarried man demands a Bride from a candidate ahead of Lok Sabha elections

As per a report:

An unmarried man demanded a bride from a candidate ahead of Lok Sabha elections in Haryana, a state with the lowest sex ratio in the country - 877 women per 1,000 men. An abnormally large number of unmarried men in Haryana has even led to the creation of informal "randa unions". Their slogan is "Bahu dilao-vote pao" (Get us a bride-get our vote) ahead of elections.

The gender imbalance caused by female foeticide has become so acute that members of these unions and elders in many villages say they will raise the issue when politicians arrive for poll meetings. "The villagers will raise this issue, though in a lighter vein," said Sunil Jaglan, sarpanch of Bibipur village in Jind. The "bahu dilao-vote pao" slogan came from the Kunwara Union, set up in Jind in 2009 by Pawan Kumar, now its chairman.

"The government must not only attack female foeticide but also find jobs for young men in Haryana. Unemployment is also a factor for us not getting brides," he said. The union had even organized a protest march five years ago to demand brides.

At Funeral Home, Dead Man Kicks to Escape Body Bag

As per a report:

A funeral director and coroner in Mississippi got the shock of their lives this week when a man put in a body bag because he was believed to be dead kicked to get out just before they began the embalming process. "He was not dead, long story short," funeral director Byron Porter told local TV station WAPT. The man, 78-year-old Walter Williams, had been pronounced dead on Wednesday after the coroner arrived at his home in Lexington and found no pulse.

Williams was then taken to the funeral home. "I stood there and watched them put him in a body bag and zip it up," Williams' nephew, Eddie Hester, told the broadcaster. But at the funeral home, Williams began to breathe and kick, Holmes County Coroner Dexter Howard said in an interview. Howard said Williams has a defibrillator that may have fired up his heart again. Paramedics picked Williams up from the funeral home and took him to an area hospital, where he has been receiving treatment.

His daughter said that Williams, who was nicknamed "Snowball" because he was born during a rare Mississippi snowstorm, was in stable condition on Friday and had been talking with family members. "He said he thought he was asleep," Mary Williams said of her father's account of what happened. "Then he woke up in the hospital. He doesn't remember any of it, really."

Heavily-Tattooed Man denied Passport for his Weird Name

As per a report:

Britain’s most heavily-tattooed man has been denied a passport for having an unusual name. His name reads “King of Ink Land King Body Art The Extreme Ink-Ite”. The 34-year-old, previously known as Mathew Whelan, adopted the moniker by deed poll four years ago, The Independent reported. “This is a breach of my human rights,” he was quoted by the daily.

“They want to put my birth name on my passport. But that is not my name any more,” he argued. The passport office refused to issue the document to Body Art, as he is known in short, despite his new name already showing on his driving license. Body Art has spent more than 25,000 pounds covering his skin in tattoos, including the whites of his eyeballs.

He was planning to travel overseas, where he had been offered body modification work. But despite filling out the relevant forms and paying the 72.50 pounds fee, the passport office sent him a letter on January 15 that said they were sticking to their policy and could not issue a passport because of his name.

The government agency told the Birmingham Mail that a policy section regarding “strings of words or phrases” meant his name was not admissible. “When an applicant changes his or her name to a string of words or phrases that would not normally be recognised as a name, this should not be entered on to the personal details page of the passport,” the section reads.

As per a report:

A man in China survived an unsuccessful attempt to feed himself to a pair of Bengal tigers and is being treated for depression, a Chinese newspaper reported Tuesday. According to the Chengdu Business Daily, Yang Jinhai, 27, climbed a tree and jumped into the tigers' enclosure on Sunday at the Chengdu Zoo in southwest China's Sichuan province.

As stunned visitors watched, Yang -- who is unemployed and suffers from mental health issues, according to his brother -- "performed exaggerated movements" as he spent 20 minutes trying to tempt the tigers to eat him. "I asked them to bite me and let them eat my meat, and so I did not fight back," Yang told the paper.

But while he was scratched and dragged by the back of his neck, the tigers declined to make a meal of him. Zoo staff tranquilised the animals so that they could rescue Yang, who sustained "16 minor wounds", the report said.

Mobile Phone Saves Man from Tigress

As per a TOI report:

The 50-something resident of the Adivasi-dominated Baihar village in Balaghat district recently had a close encounter with death. He spent an agonizing three hours up on a tree with a furious tigress waiting below. Just when he thought it was all over, the phone came to his rescue.

"I realized that though I did not have a gun, the phone in my hand could be an equally potent weapon," says Rangdale. He sent out a telephonic SOS to his friends and the search party that arrived soon after managed to scare the tiger away. Five days later, the little handset has joined the resident deities who sit in the pooja alcove of the Rangdale household.

He will not part with his lucky phone at any price, he says. Baihar is a heavily tiger-infested territory, barely 10 km off the Kanha national park, and escaping the jaws of a predator in these parts involves a huge amount of luck.

Man to be Buried atop Motorcycle

Subscribe to My Viuz Subscribe to My Viuz in MY YAHOO! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY GOOGLE! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY MSN! Subscribe to My Viuz in MY AOL! Subscribe to My Viuz in Rojo!
As per a report:

MECHANICSBURG — Billy Standley started planning to be buried astride his 1967 motorcycle about 18 years ago. His family carried out his wish Friday with a large Plexiglas casket. As far back as his family can remember, Standley said he was going to be buried astride his Harley Davidson Electra Glide. They said the motorcycle helped him retain his sense of adventure after he settled down to raise four children in Mechanicsburg — quite a compromise for the man who made his start at the tender age of 13 as a ranch hand and rodeo rider.

“He was gruff, but his heart was as big as all outdoors,” said his daughter, Dorothy Brown. Standley began making the burial plans, because when he died, he didn’t just want to ride to heaven, he wanted the whole world to see him do it in a see-through coffin. This required a lot of preparation, and even more gumption.

Australian Man tries to remove Cockroach from ear using vacuum

As per a report:

Doctors had to surgically remove a 0.8 inch cockroach from a man’s ear after it crawled inside while he was asleep, according to Australian media reports. Hendrik Helmer told the state-owned Australian Broadcasting Corporation that he had unsuccessfully tried to suck out the insect using his vacuum cleaner. “I was hoping it wasn’t a poisonous spider.

I was hoping it didn’t bite me,” he said. He woke up in the middle of the night with pain in the side of his head. ”Later on, when I stood up and it happened it would sort of hunch me over and drop me down to the ground,” Helmer said. Attempts to flush the insect out failed and were repeated at the hospital where doctors tried olive oil. After 10 minutes the creature began to die so the doctor pulled it out with forceps. “Near the 10-minute mark… somewhere about there, he started to stop burrowing but he was still in the throes of death-twitching,” he said. The roach was 2 centimeters long.

A man in Bihar disowned his son and filed a defamation case against him Saturday for marrying out of caste. Sidhnath Sharma, a Patna lawyer, also asserted that his son Sushant Jasu could no longer use his name and will have to pay Rs.10,000 copyright fees every time he used it.

Filing a defamation suit of Rs.1 crore against his son in the court at Danapur here, Sharma said: "My image and honour was hurt by my son, who solemnized an inter-caste marriage against our wishes, now he must compensate for it..." Sushant Jasu, who works for the central government as a senior tax assistant in Gujarat's Palampur town, married a girl, a resident of Danapur, Patna who works in a private bank on Nov 19, 2013.

As per a report:

The 27-year-old government employee from Bangalore spelt 40 words backwards within a minute to break a previous Guinness record set by an American, who spelt 35 words in reverse in a minute. "People often ask me how I do it. I don't know the answer. My mind just works in a strange way," said Hathwar, breaking into a smile.

Breaking records is not new to Hathwar. In 2011, he clinched the world record for the "fastest backwards spelling of 50 words" in 1 minute and 22.53 seconds. In 2012, he set a new high by spelling 30 randomly chosen words in reverse in a minute.

"This record was recently broken. So I decided to step into the arena again," he said. In keeping with the guidelines issued by the Guinness World Records, two officials from the Tamil Nadu Athletic Association were present at the venue to keep a tab on the time. He spelt 13 four-letter and six-letter words and 14 eight-letter words. Some of the words included quiver, humanity, Botany, fumigate, volume, filament, cylinder, sapphire and appendix.

His wife Savita and her father Devi Lal welcomed the court decision, Dev was in deep water as his daily wages of Rs 125 were not enough to even take care of his visually challenged father and disabled mother, let alone build a toilet. He needed to mobilize at least Rs 5,000.

A Japanese man stole $185,000 to feed his 120 cats. As per a report:

A Japanese man went on a year-long burglary spree, making off with a haul worth $185,000 to feed 120 cats a gourmet diet, police said Thursday. Mamoru Demizu, 48, is suspected of breaking into houses to steal cash and jewels on 32 separate occasions.

He told police that he stole things to come up with the money to feed scores of his feline friends, spending up to 25,000 yen ($250) a day, an officer said. "He said he felt happiest when he rubbed his cheek against cats," the officer said. Unemployed Demizu kept one animal at his home in Izumi city, western Japan, and about 20 in a nearby warehouse, while feeding 100 more strays that lived in the neighbourhood, the police said. "He would give them fresh fish and chicken, not cheap canned food," he said.

Now what would you say to this report that a Court has asked s Man to spend equal time with his Wife and his Live-in Partner. As per the report:

A Lok Adalat held in Khandwa has brokered a unique agreement among a man, his wife and his live-in partner, granting the latter an exclusive 15-day access per month to the man in question. The court also asked the man to spend another half of the month exclusively with his wife.

As per the order issued by judge Ganga Charan Dube on Saturday, the wife and the live-in partner will live under the same roof and share space with the man they love for a fortnight each, following a mutual agreement between them. The house of the man, who retired recently as a state electricity department employee in Omkareshwar, has three rooms and as per the agreement, he will stay in the middle while remaining two rooms will be occupied by his wife and his woman friend, separately.

"The middle room will have an access to both the rooms and the court directed the man to spend a fortnight each with both of them," said government advocate Ashwini Bhate. As per the agreement, the live-in partner will also have equal share in movable and immovable properties of the man they love.
